Great food and great at catering for large groups. Salad have a great mix of toppings and seemed very fresh. Each meal came with a really good cookie, bread, and a bag of chips. Seemed like clean and fresh food!

Taste is HUGE! You can almost get lost in there with how big it is and everything they have to offer. I had no idea they sold beer, wine, chocolate, cheese and all the other food items aside from sandwiches. I went during lunch time and it was very busy, but not an uncomfortable busy. Once I chose what sandwich I wanted the wait in line was only about 5 minutes. Lunch for 2 was about $30ish. Waiting to be served because yes they do serve you was a a little while longer and I wished we picked better seats because we sat by the back door but once the food arrived I did not care. The Beach Club was bomb, and it was such a big portion you probably will need to save some for later. Everything on the sandwich meshed well and tasted perfect. It just dawned on me while writing this review and reading the name, "Taste Unlimited" describes this place down to a T!

Our friends were excited to take us here and said it was a great little cafe that served great sandwich's, soups, and salads so we were ecstatic to try this place out! Once we arrived the parking was decent and the business was in the corner so it had easy access. When arriving into the establishment we were quickly greeted and the employees gave off positive energy with their smiles. The menu was short and sweet and the atmosphere brought a nice homey cafe vibe. I ordered the Cobb Salad with the Brunswick Stew, my wife ordered the Berry Salad with the Green Chili Hominy soup. We then ordered some drinks to go along with our meal and everything ended up being around $40 which is a little pricey but not uncommon or healthy cafe food. The food tasted amazing and the bread that came with the meals were so fresh like they just came out of the oven. The only issue I had (hence the missing star ) was the time we received our food. We waited over 15-20 minuets for our food. Our friends received their food before us (even if they ordered after us) and they were polite enough to wait to eat until we got our food. We waited and waited and then I asked on of the employees. She stated they will bring it out once ready. Then we waited longer until I asked the cashier who took our order. She was confused we didn't receive our order yet and asked the back. I'm guessing they forgot our ordered because it came out shortly after. They apologized for the delay but non the less this place was great. High chance we will come again, maybe next time our order will be faster and I might chance my review to a 5 Star.

This place is so cute. I'm not really sure how to describe it. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts etc. They have all's kinds of packages nuts and cheeses. You can take out or eat in. I visited 3 times while in Norfolk. I had 2 Cobb salads and a sandwich that was on special. It was turkey, feta lettuce, tomato and some type of dressing on flat bread. It was delicious. It was served with your choice of chips. The staff is very friendly. They stay extremely busy!

I absolutely love this place there's nothing bad to say about the food. I got a crabcake sandwich and was impressed. I also got a miniature pumpkin cream Brulé for dessert. It was so good and delicious. Only drawback to my visit this time, was that they advertised beer on tap that wasn't available. I was also surprised to see that there was no prosciutto being sold.

Brunswick stew, that will be all. Okay on a more serious note, what an amazing spot for lunch! Whilst on the slightly pricey side of life, you can eat comfortably knowing that it's good quality produce. The "cup" of soup came with a freshly baked bread roll, generous in size, delicious in taste (ha - Taste, I totally get it now...) and very filling. Would recommend anyone stop in for a bite for a taste of local flavor!

I love this location's proximity to the ODU campus. Most places to eat nearby are pretty mediocre, and generally lacking in healthy options - but have no fear, Taste is just down the street! During lunchtime, it gets pretty busy and their limited parking gets full. Due to the proximity to the Naval base, we get a lot of Military personnel at this location around the lunch rush (11:30-12:30). You may be able to find street parking on Lexan Ave, but keep in mind that this is a neighborhood and these are people's homes/personal parking spaces as well. Plan ahead if you're pressed for time as you may have to wait a bit for your order! I usually get the Cobb salad, no tomatoes and no cheese! This location has substituted Italian shaved cheese for the blue cheese twice now after I've said "no cheese," so I would make sure they repeat your order back to you if you need any special requests!! What's cool is that they won't charge you for the things you don't get, though. My salad today came in a one size container, the girl at the register said that they are using the one large size from now on. It seems smaller than the large size from before, but i'm not sure what the oz comparison is! Not sure if it's the same for all locations either, but I'm happy so see that the entire thing isn't plastic anymore. They use Greenware Biodegradables which is material/plastics made from plants that will eventually decompose! You can even throw it in your compost. Nice move, Taste Unlimited!

Hands down a very welcoming and tasty place to grab a bite to eat! My friend and I came here for a quick lunch around 12:30pm, and we were immediately greeted with a bright and bustling atmosphere as well as friendly service as we ordered and picked up our food. My friend ordered the Northender, while I ordered the Lynnhaven with added avocado. Our sandwiches were freshly made and deliciously put together within minutes. Their menu selection is original, and I absolutely love the casual ambience and warm staff. Although it was slightly difficult to find parking and the inside was crowded, the wait wasn't long at all, even though it was their lunch hour. I highly recommend Taste to anyone, and I strongly encourage checking out their cute gourmet grocery, refreshing beverages, and tempting gelato!

I think Taste has some great tasting sandwiches, soups, salads, gelato and snacks! This location is bigger than the other stores as this is the flagship location. From my understanding this is where all the food (soups and hot food) is made out of and sent to the other locations. This place really gets packed at lunch time and waiting time can be an inconvenience during an average lunch break, thus the dreadful takeout and delivery. For my coworkers and I, we can almost guarantee one of our orders will be messed up! The sandwiches seems to be getting smaller too while the prices still goes up. It's disappointing. Soooo why do we still go to Taste? Because it's good and fresh and doesn't have all that other extra junk ingredients...its small sacrifice :-)

When you walk inside... Ask for a free sample of gelato. Then close your eyes... And imagine cobblestone streets, Italian accents, Vespas speeding by.... It'll take you right back to Italy. At least it did for me. I've had gelato in the States a couple times, but never anything like this. It's a lot cheaper than a plane ticket, that's for sure. Really though, the rest of Taste is a super fun joint, with artisan and locally made products (sauces, wine, etc.), making it a good place to look around for a new "taste" of certain items. The service was really great as well. The lady that served me gelato was generous with the portion size and made conversation rather than treating me like a number. I haven't tried lunch or dinner here yet, but will have to soon. Really like the atmosphere. And oh yeah, the GELATO. Ciao.
